Welcome to the new year…I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that it’s the year 2023. I remember as a child thinking that 2023 was light-years away and now here we are.
I am looking forward to this year, 2023. I have so many things that I want to accomplish and goals I want to achieve.
I chose the word HOPE for the upcoming year. I have a hope in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a hope that His mercies are new every morning and a hope that HE NEVER FAILS US! This gives me great joy and a promise that nothing or no one else can give.
To start the year off the new year here on the farm we were blessed with a sweet little donkey that we named Joe! He is four years old and can bray with the best of them. He is a love and has been a welcome addition to keeping the coyotes away here at Maple Creek.

On the decor side of things I have dedicated this year to making our home reflect us. I want our home to be a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment for everyone who visits. Have you ever entered a house that is so gorgeous but it’s missing that feeling of home? I don’t ever want our home to feel that way. I want to fill it with the things we love…weird, quirky and a bit squirrelly. LOL! In all seriousness I want to create a style that best fits us. We should all be striving to create a home that is the perfect blend for our families.

So roll up your sleeves and get ready to work! We’re going to be cooking, styling and reworking our way through the new year! I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you better!
Let’s make it a great year and remember where our HOPE is!
Jeremiah 29:11 ~ For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Romans 8:24-25 ~ For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
I would love to know your plans for upcoming year.
